I don't like going in blind to things. And having information has been helpful to keep me alive. I like to know things. Never know what useless bullshit you learn that'll come in handy.
I certainly won't be arguing the point on that. I'll see if the park works first. No offense, but telling him to walk into a vampire's 'lair' might frighten him. He's not quite as curious as I am.
He said the park should be all right. Which settles that dilemma. Also, I'd appreciate it if you'd keep anything that's happened to me here between us. He might have a fit if he finds out half of it.
He should know. But you have to understand: if you don't tell him, he'll find out one way or another. The people who want to hurt you will come for him. Someone will badmouth you and he'll ask questions. He's going to find out. So you better hurry up and tell him or he's going to find out from the wrong people. And he'll either be really hurt, or the Lonely will hurt them. You better hope it's the former. Because the latter won't only hurt those people but it'll hurt Martin worse.

Date: 2019-08-19 04:41 am (UTC)He's not in the public housing.
He's just wandering around.
Trying not to bother people.
[Because of course he is. The frustration likely bleeds through the text.]
He said to go somewhere quiet, and he should be able to find you.
I suggested the park in the Down.

My warehouse.
I can pass you the address.
[ It occurs to her, right then and there, that she'd never given out the address to that place to anyone. Not Jon, not Hawke. ]

Is that where you went after the trackers?

Date: 2019-08-19 04:49 am (UTC)I was living in the basement.
I told you that.
[ When she'd brought the cat. ]
It's not 'mine', it's just not in use.
I still use the basement but not to sleep anymore.
[ She slides the address over. It's in a destitute part of the Down and well off the beaten path. ]
It says Cooper & Cooper Ltd. outside.
The owners are dead and have been for a couple of years.
Older guys. Contracted.

[It's funny because he's not paying her at the moment...
really, though, it feels like having some strange cross between Sasha and Daisy handy.]

['Suicidally,' he means.]

We can just as easily talk in the entrance way.

Keep it in mind, Jon.
I'm on my way to see him.
