It's not 'mine', it's just not in use.

The owners are dead and have been for a couple of years.

No offense, but telling him to walk into a vampire's 'lair' might frighten him.
He's not quite as curious as I am.

Which settles that dilemma.
Also, I'd appreciate it if you'd keep anything that's happened to me here between us.
He might have a fit if he finds out half of it.

But you have to understand: if you don't tell him, he'll find out one way or another.
The people who want to hurt you will come for him.
Someone will badmouth you and he'll ask questions.
He's going to find out.
So you better hurry up and tell him or he's going to find out from the wrong people.
And he'll either be really hurt, or the Lonely will hurt them.
You better hope it's the former.
Because the latter won't only hurt those people but it'll hurt Martin worse.
