[He'd just as soon not hear about Ava's morgue work or experimentation with blood magic anyway. Knows it's completely different than the sort he's wary of from home, knows she isn't out to control anyone or do anything horrific with it.
But mostly... yuck.
While Ava changes and washes up, he opens up the containers and serves up the food, including a big dish of noodles for Wuffles set on the floor. They head over to the couch to eat, carrying on with pleasant and casual conversation throughout. Hawke certainly seems a bit chattier tonight than he has been, smiling more, acting his usual self.
Once they're finished eating Hawke takes the dishes to the kitchen, rinses them off, puts the food away and tidies. Ava will be encouraged to perform some after-dinner tummyrubs for the dog.
With dinner cleaned up, Hawke returns to the couch, sitting down beside Ava, smiling at her, reaching out to settle his hand on her knee for a friendly squeeze. He doesn't seem to have much to say, though, apparently content just to sit with her.]
